The Accessibility Resource Group is specifically charged with the following responsibilities:
Charge 1: Document campus roles and responsibilities related to accessibility and access
for students, staff, faculty and visitors.
Charge 2: Identify barriers to campus community members’ success and any gaps in services needed to ensure accessibility.
Charge 3: Coordinate implementation of effective programmatic, technological and physical measures to improve accessibility at UC Merced.
Charge 4: Research innovative and effective ways to address accessibility for all campus community members.
Charge 5: Advise and make recommendations to campus leadership regarding policies, programs, services and procedures that will improve accessibility.
Charge 6: Advocate for and promote accountability systems for UC Merced that include clear goals tied to strategies, metrics and stories of impact to ensure initiatives address the campus community experiences.
